Ron Jon on Easter weekend is wild. I have never been to a more crowded surf shop than the one I visited this past Saturday. Hundreds of people turned up for the Hurley signing — me, Cheyne Cottrell, Mikey De Temple, and Oliver Kurtz did our best to accommodate. For 90 minutes straight, we didn't put down our markers took plenty of pictures with kids from all over the world. Thanks to Ron Jon and all who attended for the support. — Asher Nolan

VOLCOM BEACH CLEAN UP IN DEERFIELD BEACH, FLORIDA! 4/6/2009

On Saturday April 4th, Volcom and IWS Deerfield sponsored a beach clean up in Deerfield Beach. We met at IWS at 10:00 am and walked the short distance to the beach. A bunch of groms came to help along with Cheyne and Karley (the owners of IWS). We sent a group about a mile North of the pier and a mile South of the pier. It was amazing how much trash there was on the beach. Much of this trash you don’t even notice on a day-to-day basis. We provided water, trash bags, gloves, and sun block for the crew. We accumulated about 10 bags full of trash and when we got back to the store all who participated received a ton of Vco-Logical gear. A great time was had by all. Stay tuned for the Juno Beach clean up on April 23rd, with Ground Swell and Ocean Magic and May 30th in Ft. Lauderdale with BC Surf and Sport. -ricco

Mom i'm on TV!!!!!

this was actually a really cool day,
we got to go and teach autistic kids how to surf on Autism awareness day,
they did a 5 minute special on the local news, which really helped get the word out for our Surfers for Autism event on may 2nd...

on a side note why am i wearing all black??? who wears all black these days anyways? other then Matt Oberman that is.... mom i promise i'm not going the Goth route
